Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - What is it and How is it used?

  • NIIM Gold Coast 328 Scottsdale Drive Robina, QLD, 4226 Australia (map)

We invite you to join us for a repeat of this exciting lecture with Gold Coast Hyperbaric to find out the latest information from The International Hyperbaric Association (IHA) regarding the conditions hyperbaric oxygen therapy may assist.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, otherwise known as HBOT, is the administration of 100% oxygen in a controlled environment that exerts up to three time’s normal atmospheric pressure. The combination of increasing pressure and high concentrations of oxygen causes larger amounts of oxygen to dissolve into the plasma and tissue, typically 10 to 15 times the usual amount.

Hyperbaric Oxygenation (HBO) is non-invasive, has few potential side effects, enriches available oxygen into hypoxic structures, works in conjunction with forms of physical therapies and or necessary medications and may enhance the effectiveness of both traditional and complimentary therapies.
